A.P. Government- Week 7

This week we will finish our discussion over Civil Rights.  Topics will include womens' rights movement, the ERA, reverse discrimination, affirmative action, Title IX, and other groups recently garnering attention under the 14th Amendment.  We will review on Tuesday and Wednesday and will test on Thursday and Friday.  There will be journals due on Friday.

Economics- Week 7

This week we will begin our discussion over GDP, the Federal Reserve, and International Trade.  Topics will include GDP, per capita income, monetary and fiscal policy, trade barriers, international currency and developing countries.  There will be a journal due on Friday and daily grades given out on Tuesday and Thursday.  Presentations over your Business Organization projects will continue throughout the week.  We will be ready to review by next Monday and test next Tuesday.

A.P. U.S. Government- Week 6

This week we will continue our discussion over Civil Rights.  We will cover from the end of the Civil War to modern time.  Topics will include significant court cases and legislation passed that either hindered or promoted civil rights.  Daily grades will be given out on Tuesday and Wednesday and due by the end of the day on Friday.  There is no journal this week and would like to be ready for review and test of this material upon your return from winter break.  We will also go over your Civil Liberties Test this week.

Economics- Week 6

This week we will finish our discussion over Financial Markets.  Topics will include investing, the stock market, savings, credit, bankruptcy, and diversification. 

3rd- We will finish on Monday and review C and D.  We will test on Tuesday and start our discussion over Economic Indicators on Wednesday and Thursday.  Topics will include Unemployment, inflation, poverty, and CPI/PPI. We will review and test over the material on Friday.  Daily grades will be taken up from last Friday on Tuesday and new ones handed out on Thursday.  No journals are due this week.

4th- We will talk about Financial Markets on Monday and Tuesday.  We will test at the end of the period on Tuesday.  Wednesday thru Friday will be the same as above.

A.P. Government- Week 5

This week we will review and test over Civil Liberties.  On Thursday we will begin our discussion over Civil Rights.  Topics will include the abolitionist movement, women's rights movement, the progressive era, and segregation.  Students will have journals due on Friday.  We will also start a movie called Separate, but Equal about the famous court case that ended segregation in public schools. 

Economics- Week 5

3rd Period- We will test Monday over Prices and Market Structures. Tuesday we will begin our discussion over Business Organizations and Capital.  Topics will include sole propietorships, partnerships, corporations, the stock market, and investing.  You have a journal due this week on Friday and your daily grade will be given out Wednesday.  We will also watch a movie called Tucker, about a car inventor, starting on Tuesday.

4th Period- We will review on Prices and Market Structures on Monday and test on Tuesday.  Wednesday we will begin Business Organizations and Capital.  See above for topics.  The rest of the week is the same as above just one day later.  Journals are due on Friday.
