A.P. Government- Week 15

This week we will continue our discussion over the Executive Branch.  Topics will include presidential precedents, the vice-presidency, the modern presidency, and the electoral college.  Daily grades will be given out on Wednesday and Thursday, and we will quiz over the Presidents on Friday and Monday.  There will be no journals due this week. 

3rd/4th Government- Week 5

This week we will be beginning the Legislative Branch.  Topics will include qualifications, terms, differences between the House and Senate, bill to a law, and congressional committees.  We will review on Thursday and test on Friday.  Daily grades will be given out on Tuesday and there will be journals due on Friday.

A.P. Government- Week 14

This week we will be reviewing and testing over the Legislative Branch.  Thursday and Friday we will begin the Executive Branch.  Topics will include presidential terms and qualifications, the 22nd and 25th amendments, and presidential titles and duties.  We will also watch a presentation on presidential campaigans.  There are no journals due this Friday. 

3rd/4th Government- Week 4

This week we will continue our discussion over political parties.  Topics will include the history of the parties, third parties, national conventions, national and state parties, and voting strengths.  Daily grades will be given out on Monday and due on Thursday.  There are no journals due this week.  We will review on Thursday and test on Friday.  Progress reports will be handed out on Friday as well.

A.P. Government- Week 13

This week we will finish our discussion over the Legislative Branch.  Topics will include pork barrel legislation, relations between the president and congress, and the process of a bill to a law.  Daily grades will be given out on Monday and Wednesday and due by Friday.  We will also quiz over the Georgia Congressional Districts on Friday and there are no journals due this week.  We will review Thursday and Friday and test next week.

3rd/4th Government- Week 3

This week we will be finishing up our discussion over Federalism.  Topics will include cooperative and new federalism, guarantees to the states, and court cases including Lopez.  We will review on Wednesday and test on Thursday.  We will begin Political Parties on Friday with our discussion over the Liberal or Conservatice worksheet given out after the test.  4th period has journals due on Friday.  Daily grades over Federalism will be given out on Wednesday and due on Friday.
