Online Elective Registration Schedule

The Elective Registration schedule is as follows:

Rising Seniors (current juniors)                      Monday, March 25th-Monday, April 1st

Rising Juniors (current sophomores)               Wednesday,March 27th-Monday, April 1st

Rising Sophomores (current freshmen)           Thursday, March 28th-Monday, April 1st

You may ONLY access the Online Registration website within the registration window for your grade level.  Students may register at school, during their online registration timeframe, in the Media Center, as well as, the Career Center, before or after school and during their lunch periods.

CORE COURSE WAIVERS & ACCELERATION FORMS

ACADEMIC CORE COURSE WAIVER- This form needs to be completed and signed by the student's parent when the student wants to move up or down a level which is contrary to the recommendation of the school. For example, he/she has been recommended for on-level American Lit and would like to challenge themselves and feels they can handle Honors American Lit. Or vice-versa, recommended for Honors Gov/Econ and they prefer to take on-level Gov/Econ. This is NOT to change an elective they have requested but would rather not take.

ACCELERATION FORM- This form is needed when a student would like to double up, during the same school year, in an Academic Core class. For example, he/she has taken their required English class the 1st semester and would like to take another English class the 2nd semester.  They may do this for any number of reasons, such as, getting ahead and challenging themselves, attempting to graduate early or trying to catch up if they failed an academic core class and need to repeat it. Again this is NOT a form for elective changes.

Acceptance of either one of these forms by KMHS does NOT guarantee placement in the requested class. After all students have been scheduled, waivers and acceleration forms will be processed on a space available basis
