le 15 decembre: make sure to remember your props for tomorrow's skit which is a 100 point speaking grade and chapter assessment. We had additional time to practice scenes and lines today for a participation grade. Be ready to present tomorrow!

le 15 dec: finish your collage with 10 pix of things you did recently. Be sure to use a vareity of verbs from all 3 groups: regular verbs, irregular with avoir and verbs that take etre. You will present tomorrow for a 50 point speaking grade. DO NOT write the sentences you are going to say on your poster. You should write them out on your worksheet ahead of time so you can make corrections before you present.

le 14 dec: we wrote stories using etre verbs and practiced putting infinitives into verb categories. QUIZ on etre verbs (song verbs) tomorrow, listening and writing.

le 13 dec/mardi: complete ex. 12,13,14 using etre verbs. Practice memorizing the song for bonus points on the etre quiz. Bring in some magazines for pix for our project on thursday. Review packets for the final are to be finished on your own but if you have any questions about the material, see me any time  in the am. We will review on Mon. and Tuesday for the final. Start preparing now!

Week 17

le 12 decembre: we learned 2 new verbs: vouloir and pouvoir: to want and to be able to. We colored a stocking and write what we wanted from Santa. We practiced writing and saying this verb in class. See the ex. 30  on p. 202. Notes for this verb are on p. 201. HW: write 5 things you want for Christmas (1 verb), and 5 things you want to DO  (2 verbs)for christmas:

Ex: Je veux un IPOD. : 5 complete sentences

Je veux aller au cinema.  5 complete sentences

Week 17:

le 12 decembre: HW: write 10 sentences in the past tense using 10 etre verbs (song verbs). Vary your sentences using different pronouns. Ex: He went to the store. She died  in France. We climbed the Eiffel tower. Be sure to make your past participle agree!

le 9 dec: we learned about some new verbs that take etre and watched a video on these verbs see the powerpoint below if you were absent. It explains the verbs step by step. Flashcards: write a plain flashcard for each verb on the list next to spongebob in the powerpoint below. See the example for the way I want the cards done. Don't cut up the flashcards with the black and white pix yet. We'll do that on Monday.

le 8 dec. : complete ex. 1 and 2 only on the handout. Remember that your past participle agrees with # and gender. Don't do the side with the French map on it!

le 8 dec: jeudi/QUIZ on partitive forms, food items, food shopping places and containers. Don't forget the negative also: PAS DE. Go to quia.com and put in ch. 6 and bon voyage for some additional review games. Practice with your blank list to review masc. and feminine.

le 7 dec: complete ex.  B and C on handout: make sure to use ne/jamais for your answers for part B, not the way they say to do it.
