• Your assignment is to choose three (3) of the roles of the US President.  Write a 5 paragraph paper describing those roles.  In each of the 3 paragraphs that make up the body of your paper, you will need to list activities that fulfill each presidential role.  In order to receive full credit, you will need to cite one current event that pertains to that particular presidential role.  Make sure you highlight or underline your current events within the body of your paper.

Part 1: (50 Points)  Create a chart to describe each Presidential power.   Once you have completed the chart on part one, move on to complete part two of this assignment.

For each of the following tell what each of these “Gives the President the Power to…"

Executive Powers: Executing the Law, The Ordinance Power, The Appointing Power, The Removal Power

Diplomatic and Military Powers: The Power to Make Treaties, Executive Agreements, The Power of Recognition, Role in Military Affairs

The Legislative and Judicial Powers: The President’s Legislative Powers,  Judicial Powers

Part 2:  Current Events:  Choose any TWO of the Presidential powers above and find an article that profiles the President using that power. The article can not be more than 3 years old. For each current event you must include the following:  (25 points  for each summary)
