- Today, we practiced finding mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation inputing the data into the calculator.
- Classwork to be finished for Homework: From your textbook, complete Pg. 262 # 1 -13 all. Fin the mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation for each problem. Students had over 45 minutes to complete this assignment in class.
- Here are the solutions for the assignment. It is your responsibility to download and check your solutions to the above assignment. We will not discuss it in class tomorrow. : Download Solutions to Pg. 262
- There is a quiz tomorrow finding the mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation. Students must have a NON-GRAPHING scientific calculator for tomorrow's quiz.
- I will be available for help tomorrow morning at 7:45 if you have any questions about the homework or using your calculator.
- Today we reviewed mean, median, mode and range. We learned to calculate the standard deviation by hand and by entering the data into the calculator.
- Homework: From your textbook, complete Pg. 261 # 1- 12 all. For #1 - 6, show how you calculated the mean and median. For # 7 -12, enter the data in the calculator and give the mean, range, and standard deviation.
- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A NON-GRAPHING, SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR, YOU NEED TO BUY ONE TONIGHT. YOU MAY NOT USE A GRAPHING CALCULATOR FOR FRIDAY's QUIZ OR THE EOCT. YOU NEED TO PRACTICE USING THE CALCULATOR TO FIND THE MEAN AND STANDARD DEVIATION. 30 MINUTES OF CLASSTIME WAS SPENT EXPLAINING TO ALL STUDENTS HOW TO USE THEIR CALCULATOR.
- Friday there is a quiz over all of this material.

- 4th Block: Students must complete Review # 1 for Sequences & Series Worksheet # 1- 7 all & from your textbook: Pg. 147 # 32 - 45 all. Download Review #1 Sequences & Series Test
- For all classes, the Sequences & Series Test is next Tuesday, 3/29. For 4th block, if you make a better grade on your test, I will replace your quiz grade with your test grade. For 1st & 2nd blocks, if you do better on the portion of the test that was on the quiz, I will replauce your quiz grade with the grade you earned for this material on the test.
- 4th Block: Students had a quiz over sequences & series.
- 1st & 2nd Block: The quiz was returned to students and problems were worked on the board. You learned to find the sum of a geometric series.
- 1st & 2nd Block Homework: Complete from your textbook, Pg. 145 # 18 -23 all and the 3 board problems given in class.
- Sequences & Series Quiz is next Tuesday, 3/29, for ALL classes.
- 4th Block: There is a quiz tomorrow over sections 4.7 - 4.9 Sequences & Series. We reviewed arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. Students received a review sheet for tomorrow's quiz. - Today, we reviewed arithmetic and geometric sequences. We learned to find the sum of a geometric series.
- 4th block Homework: Complete the 11.3 Practice A Worksheet (Geometric Sequence & Series) # 1- 21 all Download 11.3 Practice A Geometric Sequence & Series Worksheet & From your textbook, complete Pg. 145 # 18 -21 all & Pg. 146 #11 & 16. Students had over 30 minutes in class to work on this assignment.

- The 4.4 -4.6 Exponential Test were returned and solutions were provided in class today.

- Today, we learned to write the rule of the nth term of an arithmetic sequence. We related the rule to the slope intercept form of a line.
