4/28 Circles Review Continued

• We discussed problems 1 -31 from the circle review. I worked any problems requested by students and shared strategies of how to take a multiple choice test.

• Finish the Circles Review Packet: #32 - 70 all. Students were given class time at the beginning and end of class to complete the packet. They had at least 45 minutes to work on the packet in class today. Here is the circle review:  Download Circles Review EOCT

• EOCT Quiz 3 over circles is Monday, May 2nd. However, if students do not have the circles review completed, they may have the quiz tomorrow. Also remember that unannounced vocabulary quizzes start next week!
• The EOCT is May 18th & 19th. Please utilize the opportunity given in class daily to review and prepare for the EOCT. It is 15% of your overall average!
  

4/27 Circles Review

• We reviewed the formulas for angles, segments of circles, circumference, area, arclength, and area of sector of a circle.
• Students need to complete problems #1 - 31 from the Circles Review EOCT (pages 1 -4). Here is the review:   Download Circles Review EOCT
• EOCT Quiz 3 over circles is next Monday, 5/2.
  

4/26 EOCT preparation

• Students had an EOCT quiz today over simplifying, factoring, and solving quadratics.
• Students need to write down the arc and angle formulas for circles, the segment formulas for  circles, and formulas for circumference, area, arclength and area of sector for circles.
• We will review circles the rest of the week. EOCT Quiz #3 on circles is next Monday.

4/25 Factoring Review

• Today, we reviewed all types of factoring. STudents had 30 minutes in class to begin the homework assignment.
  
• Homework: Complete the selected problems from the back side of last week's worksheet: # 1, 5, 8, 10, 13, 14, 20, 28, 29, 31, 35, 38, 41, & 44. Here is the worksheet(complete the selected problems from the second page).   Download EOCT Review #2

4/22 EOCT Review #2 & 3

• Students had the ENTIRE class period to complete their review. Today, we finished #17 -25 from EOCT Review #2 (front side of yesterday's worksheet). Students also completed the following problems from EOCT Review #3 (back side of yesterday's worksheet): From 3rd Section, Solve the equation: complete the left column #34, 37, 40, 43, 45. • EOCT Quiz 2 next Tuesday, 4/26. Vocab Quizzes starting week of May 2nd.
• EOCT is May 18th & 19th!

4/21 EOCT Review: Quadratic Formula

• Today, we reviewed and practiced the quadratic formula. Yesterday's quiz, EOCT Quiz 1, was returned to students and solutions were given.
• Homework: Complete EOCT Review #2: Quadratic Formula Worksheet # 1- 16 all. Students had over 50 minutes of class to complete this worksheet.   Download EOCT Review #2
• 4th block: Complete EOCT Review #2 #1 -25 all from front side and the last section #1 -10 (simplifying) on the back side. This is due Monday since we will not meet for class tomorrow!
  
• EOCT Quiz 2 is next Tuesday, 4/26.
• Students were given the vocabulary list yesterday. They will be given Vocabulary Tests the last three days of class. They will be given random vocabulary quizzes starting the week of May 2nd. Here is the vocabulary list.   Download Vocabulary List

4/19 Review of Complex Numbers

• Tomorrow, there is a quiz over radicals and complex numbers.
• The EOCT is May 18th & 19th. It counts 15% of the overall average in Math II.

4/18 Radicals Review

• The End-Of-Course-Test is May 18th & 19th. We will spend the remainder of the semester reviewing for the EOCT.
• Today, we reviewed how to simplify radicals and operations with radicals.
• Homework: Students need to complete the EOCT Review #1    Download EOCT review 1  Each class had at least 40 minutes in class to work on the review.
• There is a quiz on Wednesday, 4/20, over radicals and complex numbers.

4/15 Statistics Test

• Today, students had a statistics test. After the test, students received an EOCT Extra Practice Worksheet (7 problems). We did 4 of the problems together in class. Students need to finish the rest of the worksheet for homework. Here is the worksheet:  Download EOCT Extra Practice

4/14 Review for Statistics Test
