- The warm up involved finding the surface area and volume of spheres, the circumference and area of circles, and working backward to find the radius or diameter of the circle given the radius and diameter.
- We learned to work backward to find the radius given the surface area and volume of a sphere. These problems will be on tomorrow's quiz.
- Classwork/Homework: Each class had over 20 minutes to begin this assignment in class. From the workbook, complete Pg. 249 - 251 # 6, 8, 10, 11, 16 - 18 all, 21, 22, 24 - 27 all. For each problem, give the exact answer and approximate to the hundredth place.
- Tomorrow there is a quiz over finding the circumference and area of circles, finding the surface area and volume of spheres, and working backwards to find the radius and diameter of circles given circumference and area, and working backward to find the radius of a sphere given the surface area and volume.
- I am available for help tomorrow morning. Please come see me if you have any questions. We will begin the quiz immediately at the beginning of class tomorrow.
- Today, we completed a warm up over Circumference and Area of Circle and finding the radius or diameter given the Circumference or Area of a cirrcle.
- We learned the formulas for the Surface Area and Volume of a Sphere. We found both the exact answers in terms of pi and approximated to the hundredth place.
- Classwork/Homework: Students need to complete both sides of the Spheres and Circles Worksheet. For the Spheres, we changed the directions to include the exact answers in terms of pi for each problem as well as round to the tenth place. - There will be a quiz on Wednesday, 11/20, over Circumference and Area of Circles and Surface Area and Volume of Spheres and working backwards to find the radius and diameter for all of this material.
- Students who were absent on Friday, 11/18, and missed the 6.7 & 6.8 Quiz need to make up the quiz by tomorrow afternoon.
- Today, I gave the solutions for the even problems from the 6.7 & 6.8 Worksheet, and I worked any requested problems for each class. Then, we worked problem 19 together after students had time to complete it individually. Download 6.7 & 6.8 Worksheet

- I will be available for help and to answer specific questions about the worksheet tomorrow morning from 7:45 - 8:15. I will not answer any questions during class tomorrow.
- Today, we reviewed sections 6.7 & 6.8. For the quiz, students need to give both simplest exact answers in terms of pi and approximate to the hundredth place. Units must be included in their answers.

- Homework: From the textbook, complete Pg. 232-233 # 1- 7 odd, 10 -19 all, 22 - 24 all. Give exact answers in simplest form with pi, and approximate your answers to the hundredth place.
- There is a quiz on Friday over sections 6.7 & 6.8.
- Retest for the 6.1 - 6.6 Circles Test is tomorrow and Thursday mornings at 7:30 and tomorrow and Thursday afternoons at 3:35.

- The 6.1 - 6.6 Circles Test was distributed for students to see their performance on the test. The retest for the circles test is this Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 in room 525 with Mrs. Keating and this Wednesday and Thursday afternoon at 3:35 in my room.

- Today, students had a county Benchmark Test 1 for Mathematics 2.
- The solutions for the multiple choice review packet from Friday were given and any requested problems were presented and worked out for the class.
