1/27/12 Writing Equations for Absolute Value Graphs & Writing Absolute Value Equations as Piecewise Functions

• We completed a warm up to review the characteristics of an absolute value function.

• We learned to write an absolute value equation as a piecewise function, left side is x < h and the right side is x  > h.
• Classwork/Homework: Complete Worksheet #1 Writing Equations from a Graph #7 - 12 all, for #7 & 9 also give the following characteristics: domain, range, intervals of increase and decrease, and extrema.
