Welcome Back to 2020-2021

With the start of the school year looking very different this year, the clinic will continue to work at providing as much health, wellness and medical support to students and staff as possible! Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions and/or concerns. With the environment and community changing daily, I may not have the answer but will work to find you one!

Attached are the latest CDC, DPH and CCSD guidelines as currently established for COVID-19. Please be aware these recommendations and guidelines are very fluid and constantly changing, and the CDC and DPH websites are always the most current and your best resource!

CCSD has released Safety Guidelines for Employees. It is imperative all employees self-monitor for illness daily prior to coming to work and remain at home if ill. The recommendations for maintaining a healthy work environment are excellent and should be followed closely. Employees should self-report any diagnosed COVID case, symptoms of COVID, or direct contact of known COVID case to your principal, and via the INTRANET link on the CCSD website to School Health Services.

DPH has provided two documents with guidelines for COVID exposures:

Quarantine Guidance: What to do if you were exposed to someone with COVID-19

Isolation Guidance; What to do if you are sick with COVID-19

Prevention is the best practice! Wearing masks, social distancing, covering coughs and/or sneezes (do not remove your mask, but still cough or sneeze into your elbow), and good hand washing frequently is essential in staying healthy. Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands. If you use a cloth mask it is important to wash your mask routinely.

Stay tuned for proper technique for removing of masks, and proper care and washing of your cloth masks!

Contact the clinic (ext 087) for any questions, and have a great start to your school year!
